Recent news

DEA supports successful North Sea Rescue

One of DEA's DA42MPPs ,G-DSPY captained by Gordon Muir (White-Knight-Zero-Six) assisted in the recent planned ditching of a Bond Eurocopter that had a main gear box double oil pump failure.

At the request of Aberdeen ATC the Wescam MX15 equipped DA42 aircraft acted as an airborn relay and control centre whilst various helicopters and surface vessels came and went.

DEA's DA42MPPs moved to the British Register

DEA's two DA42MPPs have been successfully moved from the Austrian register to the British register. OE-FAI and OE-FVA now become G-DMPP and G-DSPY.

In addition the two aircraft have been 'normalised' with the rest of the DEA fleet with matching blue and silver accents having had their military decals removed. This reduces their obvious paramiltary context and assists in covert operations

DEA joins Exercise Joint Warrior (again)

DEA has been asked to participate in the  spring 2012 "Joint Warrior" exercise which is conducted in and around the south western part of Scotland using one of DEA's DA42MPPs fitted with a Wescam MX15 electro-optical system and UHF communciations.

Working with our partners 3SDL and starting on the 14th April for 7 days, G-DSPY will be functioning as an ISTAR platform and will also simulate a range of attack aircraft.

DEA strengthens senior management team

Diamond-Executive Aviation (DEA) announced 27/3/2012 that Chris Turner has been appointed to the post of Head of Ground Operations.

DEA successfully concludes MoD exercises

Diamond-Executive Aviation (DEA) is proud to announce the successful completion of our support for Exercise PASHTUN DAWN conducted between 11 March and 13 April 2012 over the Ministry of Defence’s Salisbury Plain Training Area (SPTA).
